Results of my tests are in and I am in need of a Triple Bypass open heart surgery. Still in hospital and looks like I will be until I get the procedure done. Lots of support and encouragement from friends and family.

Looks like I'm going to be laid up for a while. I've been diagnosed with Angina after a minor heart attack. Fun and games and internet shopping with Asda and maybe start work on my next project.

I will be using this as a noticeboard for any comments I receive or any information that I will be giving out.

You are easily my favourite Scottish author. Please feel free to put this on your website as a positive comment, Irvine Welsh, Robert Burns, Arthur Conan Doyle, Val McDermid, Ian Rankin, all amateurs next to your prose..

April 2025

Currently on a search for a more traditional form of publishing and working hard on my next project with future work forming in my addled brain.

January 2026

I received an email from Ian Clark. No, I wasn't having a moment. This Ian Clark lives in Los Angles and has written a book called "Victor One." As our names are the same there appears to be some confusion and his work was being credited to myself. This is not my work, all my titles are displayed in these pages. If you come across any book by Ian Clark that is not displayed here it is not mine. All my work is solely produced by these alcohol riddled cells I call my brain. If anyone else contributes in any way I will always credit them in the book and on here.

As an upshot of this encounter I found myself contacting KDP about my suspended account and after a few back and forth emails I am very happy to report that all my titles are once again available on Amazon. The relative pages will be linked to the point of sale on Amazon.

This also means I am picking up work on my next project... A conclusion to the Glass Trilogy.

It was almost three years ago now that I suffered my heart attack. At the same time I was informed by Kindle Desktop Publishing that I had breached their terms and conditions and that if I did not correct the matter then my account would be suspended. I asked what the breach was and I was informed that an account I was associated with had broken their rules. They would not tell me any details on the account or what they had done. All my protestations led to nothing and as I was in hospital at the time I was limited in what I could do. For the next two and a half years I was unable to sell any of my books and I felt it was pointless writing anything new as it would not see the light of day.

Three months ago I received an odd email from Ian Clark. No. I did not email myself. This Ian Clark lives in Los Angles and has written a book called "Delta One" as he is a police officer in LA it's no surprise that it's set in LA and is a crime story, but for some reason it was being connected to my name. I emailed KDP and the situation was resolved, however at the time I enquired about my account and why it was suspended. They emailed me back with the same story that an account that I was associated with had breached their terms and conditions. I explained that I have only ever had one account. They replied "oh sorry here's your account back." Only not in so many words.

Great back on Amazon, only problem is I have access to my account but none of my books were appearing on Amazon. I asked and asked and asked and was told to do this, or that, but none of it worked. "we are looking into it" and "It will be resolved shortly" were the common replies until today.

All I could think was "About fucking time!!!" So after ten weeks of frustration and a mountain of patience I ask in all politeness "so after all this is there any chance of maybe a bit of free promotion?" the answer will probably come as no surprise.

"We don't do that." Customer service KDP gets 1 star because I can't give it less. Spread this around especially to any budding authors out there considering KDP. It sucks.

I am working on a new project due to be completed sometime soon. It is a Sci-Fi mystery set in the Shetland Islands in the near future. The working title is... "I'll let you know."
