Ian Clark is an author born and raised in Aberdeen, Scotland. He has a deep connection to his hometown, which is reflected in his writing. Ian has written a trilogy of horror science fiction books on Amazon titled The Circle. These books, like all of his work, are set in Scotland, and specifically in Aberdeen. His latest book, Broken Glass, is a psychological thriller with an ever-increasing sense of paranoia, and it is set in the same universe as his The Circle trilogy.

Ian attended Dyce Primary and Robert Gordon's College before joining the Royal Air Force, where he served for ten years in the 1970s and 80s. During this time, he developed his guitar and DJ skills and worked on the British Forces Broadcasting Services. Some Aberdonians may remember him as a function DJ. Ian fell in love with the Caribbean during his time in the RAF, which left a lasting impression on him.

After leaving the RAF, Ian worked in the oil industry until he was laid off during a downturn. He now works as a Telecoms Field Service Engineer, which takes him all over Scotland, providing him with valuable research opportunities for his novels.

Ian has three children from his first marriage, all of whom are now in their 30s. During his ten years as a single parent, he started writing and began to develop the ideas for his trilogy, which he published on Amazon Kindle in 2011. Since then, he has remarried.

In his spare time, Ian loves to read books by Stephen King, Dean Koontz, James Herbert, Tom Clancy, and James Paterson. He is also a huge fan of Star Trek and Doctor Who. With his extensive life experience, passion for writing, and love of his hometown, Ian Clark is a unique voice in the world of horror and science fiction.
